Creating a Notification

To create a notification:
  1. Click on the Current Group dropdown menu on the left navigation bar to see a list of all device groups that can be accessed, then select from the list to switch to the Group Dashboard page of the device group.
  2. On the left navigation bar, click on the Notifications tab, and the Notifications page is displayed.
  3. In the All Notifications section, click on the + add button or click on the Add New Notification button if no notification has been created before.
  4. In the Add a New Notification pop up, select the type of notification channel with the checkbox next to App Notification (via UnaConnect Mobile App), Email or Slack Bot.
  5. Enter the name and a short description about the notification to help distinguish it from other notifications.
  6. Click on the Filter dropdown menu and select a suitable data type (data, event, geolocation or telemetry) to filter for the notification.
    Note: If you specify a notification for the data type "data" then no other data type will trigger this notification.
  7. If the notification is applied to all device types in the group, then click on the All Types checkbox. If you wish to set up the notification for a specific device type in the group, untick the checkbox then click on the Device Types dropdown menu and select the device type for the notification.
  8. Enter the email of the notification recipients then click on the + add button, the recipient emails are displayed above.
  9. Enter the subject header and message body of the notification, which may be configured as outlined in the Notifications Essentials section.
  10. If the notification is applied to all devices in the group, then click on the Apply to all devices checkbox. If you wish to set up the notification for a specific device(s) in the group, untick the checkbox then click on the Device ID dropdown menu and select the device ID(s) for the notification.
  11. Click on the Add button to confirm the configured notification.
