Signal Score

To ensure the transmission to be of the highest possible quality, UnaConnect has created an indicator easy to understand. The Signal Score is an integer number without upper bound that summarizes the overall quality of transmission between a device and the Sigfox network. It compiles all available telemetry information regarding the coverage and the history of the previously received messages to give a unique score to each device.
UnaConnect automatically updates the Signal Score after each transmission, allowing the Client to find the most suitable location for each of the devices.
A wide range of technical information is used to calculate the Signal Score such as the number of base stations receiving the message, their respective average RSSI, etc.
A Signal Score above 60 illustrates an excellent transmission quality. If a device receives a score between 40 and 60, the signal is of good quality, and low with a Signal Score below 40.
