Signal Score

About the Signal Score:
  • To ensure the transmission to be of the highest possible quality, UnaConnect generates a signal score indicator for ease of understanding. It is an integer number without upper bound that summarizes the overall quality of transmission between a device and the Sigfox network
  • The signal score is compiled from a wide range of technical information such as the number of base stations receiving the message, their respective RSSIs, and many other available telemetry information regarding the coverage and the history of the previously received messages to generate a unique score to each device
  • UnaConnect automatically updates the Signal Score after each transmission, allowing the user to find the most suitable location for each of the devices.
  • A Signal Score above 60 illustrates an excellent transmission quality. If a device receives a score between 40 and 60, the signal is of good quality, and low with a Signal Score below 40.
